Lexington Man Arrested In Laurel County On Fourth DUI Offense

Laurel County Sheriff John Root says deputies arrested a Lexington man on his fourth DUI charge. Officers responded to a complaint about two men passed out in an SUV at a business on West Laurel Road in London. Deputies found the keys in the ignition and had to beat on the window to wake the men up. The investigation determined both the driver and passenger were under the influence. The driver, 46 year old Jeffrey Ray Caudill of Lexington was arrested and charged with DUI – fourth offense, which is a Class D felony, as well as operating on a suspended or revoked license and other traffic violations. The passenger, 55 year old Wendell Burkhart Baker of Keavy, was arrested and charged with alcohol intoxication in a public place. Both were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
