Suspect In Hazard Robbery Arrested In Clay County With Stolen Plates Out Of Laurel County

The suspect from Tuesday's robbery at the Hazard Village Rite Aid has been arrested, along with a passenger in the vehicle he was driving. Hazard police say the Clay County Sheriff's Department and Kentucky State Police stopped 38 year old Michael Scott Ganues of Georgia and a woman who identified herself as Michelle Davis after their vehicle broke down. The woman later turned out to actually be 49 year old Michelle L. Lindsey of Dry Ridge. The car had a stolen license plate from Laurel County. After checking under the seat where Lindsey was sitting, the deputies found two baggies of meth and a white pill. Officials say she denied the pills were hers and called them "crooked cops". Ganues was charged with robbery and a Perry County warrant. Lindsey was charged with drug possession, giving an officer a false identity, being a fugitive from Georgia and several Kentucky warrants. They were lodged in the Clay County Detention Center.
