Knox County Man Arrested For Burglary

The Knox County Sheriff's Office says deputies were called out to a home on Brices Creek Road where a burglary had been reported. During the investigation, it was determined that 32 year old Dustin Abner had broken in and stole items. While police were still at the scene, they received a complaint that Abner was at his home fighting with some people armed with a machete. When deputies arrived there at that location, they could hear a scuffle going on inside. Officers went in and found Abner holding a machete. After several commands he dropped the machete. A woman there had allegedly been assaulted by Abner. Deputies also found stolen items from the burglary. Abner was arrested and charged with burglary, disorderly conduct and menacing. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
