Laurel County Sheriff's Office And London Police Department Release Year End Statistics

As we begin a new year Laurel County Sheriff John Root and London Police Chief Derek House have released statistics from the past year. Sheriff Root says the Sheriff's Office had a busy year in 2017. He says there were a total of 21,854 calls for service, an increase of 786 calls from the previous year, and said there will be a continued emphsis on drug investigations as his "War On Drugs" continues. For more detailed statistics visit the departments facebook page at Chief House reports London Police had 15,994 calls for service.
