Kentucky Senator Rand Paul was at the London Corbin Airport to honor first responders yesterday afternoon. Attendees said they were honored to have Sen. Paul recognize them. Senior Program Director of Air Evac Lifeteam, Dan Durham, said folks were grateful to come together. Durham said Sen. Paul’s office reached out, asking to host an event in London to recognize First Responders for their work during the I-75 shooting in September. He said it was also a time to remember the three people who died after a helicopter crash in Owen County in early October. During the event, Sen. Paul said he appreciated the hard work of first responders and recognized that they put their lives on the line every day. Sen. Paul made two other stops in Eastern Kentucky on Thursday. This included Middlesboro and Harlan.
