Clay County Woman Arrested for ATV Theft

Clay County Sheriff Patrick Robinson says a woman was arrested in a stolen side-by-side case. Deputies made contact with Brandy Burns at a home on Stable Hollow Road. According to an arrest citation, Burns told police she had not seen or did not know anything about an ATV side-by-side being stolen. Police then spoke to a next door neighbor who told them the ATV was on a trail directly behind Burns’ home. Using the VIN number, police confirmed the ATV was stolen out of Hazard. Burns reportedly told police she parked it there and had gotten it from a friend. Burns was charged with receiving stolen property and lodged in the Clay County Detention Center.
