Last month, the Cumberland Falls State Resort Park was awarded the Tripadvisor Travelers’ Choice Award for 2024. The honor places the park among the top 10 percent of attractions worldwide. Park officials said the honor would not be possible without the people in the community. Park officials help keep the waterfall clean by hosting a community clean-up project, which just wrapped up over the weekend. This was the last community clean-up of the summer. They will begin again next July. Cumberland Falls is the biggest waterfall south of the Niagara. This gives the water fall the nickname ‘Niagara Falls of the South.’
