Tuesday, Gov. Andy Beshear unveiled an initiative to attract business, tourism and future residents to Kentucky. He was joined in Lexington by economic development and tourism leaders from throughout the state, including London. The “New Kentucky Home” initiative is a comprehensive marketing campaign that combines economic development and tourism. The campaign aims to “reintroduce” Kentucky to the world, highlighting the state’s economy, natural beauty, culture and communities. In his announcement, the Governor unveiled new graphics, marketing materials, a hashtag and a new website for the Cabinet for Economic Development. Officials with the Governor’s office said one of the main goals of the initiative is to help Team Kentucky build on the state’s economic growth and allow that growth to continue.
