Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting the Laurel County Drug Interdiction Task Force comprised of the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office, HIDTA, Knox County Sheriff’s Office and London City Police conducted a two month drug investigation jointly with the Operation Unite Drug Task Force and the London office of the DEA. As a result, 47-year-old Jamie Deaton and 31-year-old Alicia Isom, of London were arrested and charged with trafficking fentanyl. Police say they found approximately eight grams of fentanyl, meth, assorted pills, drug paraphernalia and more than $43,000 in cash. Deaton and Isom were both lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
