Laurel County Sheriff John Root says Detective Tommy Houston was called out to a domestic complaint at a home off KY 490. As deputies arrived, 44-year-old David Casteel tried to flee, but was later found hiding in a bedroom closet. After a brief struggle Casteel was taken into custody. Police also discovered he was wanted on an outstanding warrant. In addition to the warrant, Casteel was charged with fleeing or evading police, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and menacing. He was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
