The Special Called London City Council meeting scheduled for Monday night was cancelled due to the death of First Lady Helen Smith. The meeting has been rescheduled for Thursday at noon. On the agenda was the retirements of Police Chief Chuck Johnson and Fire Chief Carl Hacker. The agenda listed plans to confirm new people for both positions at the meeting. Jerry Hollon is to be confirmed as Police Chief and Donnie Hale for Fire Chief.
