London Police Officer Awarded Life Saving Medal

London Police Chief Chuck Johnson says he was proud to recognized Corporal Ben Webb at the London City Council Meeting this week and present him a Life Saving Medal. Earlier this year, while on duty, Cpl. Webb overheard a call dispatched to EMS and the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office for an 18 year old man who had a severe laceration to his leg. Realizing that he was the closest first responder, Cpl. Webb responded to the scene and utilizing his training and his department issued tourniquet to effectively stop the bleeding and save the young man’s life. Chief Johnson commended Cpl. Webb for his efforts and quick thinking.
