Laurel County Sheriff John Root says Deputy Zach Allen arrested a woman after she stabbed someone with a knife. Deputies were called out to Dogwood Springs Drive where there was a reported assault with injury. When deputies arrived, they found a victim who told police that they were hit in the back of the head and stabbed in the arm by a woman. Witnesses at scene said the woman, 53-year-old Darcie Shivelhood of London, also slashed a tire on a vehicle in the driveway of the victim. Deputies found Shivelhood walking along the road with the knife. She was charged with second degree assault and second degree criminal mischief. Shivelhood was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
