As forest fire season continues throughout the Commonwealth, experts advise you to stay vigilant. Mary O’Malley, public affairs specialist for the Daniel Boone National Forest says during this year’s forest fire season, there have been 13 wildfire incidents that impacted 403 acres of the Daniel Boone National Forest. She said the Kentucky Division of Forestry reports that 99% of wildfires in Kentucky can be prevented. A burn ban is in place from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m.
