The annual London-Laurel County Veterans Celebration is this Saturday November 2nd, giving citizens the opportunity to thank veterans for their service and sacrifice to the country. Festivities begin at 11:45 a.m. on Saturday in front of the Laurel County Courthouse with special singing, a proclamation honoring veterans and a 21-gun salute from the London DAV Chapter 66. Laurel County Judge-executive David Westerfield and others will give remarks. The veterans parade will follow at 1 p.m., beginning at Carnaby Square and continuing along North Main Street and KY 80 to Wildcat Harley-Davidson, where a meal will be served for veterans and their families.
