Michigan Man Arrested in Knox County on Drug Charges

Knox County Sheriff Mike Smith announced a Michigan man was arrested on drug charges. Deputies developed information that a large quantity of methamphetamine, fentanyl and heroin was being delivered to the Corbin area in a gray Dodge Charger. Deputies and members of the Laurel County Drug Interdiction Task Force located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop on the Cumberland Gap Parkway in Corbin. The driver was identified as 29-year-old DeMarcus Johnson. During the investigation, officers found three ounces of suspected meth and three ounces of suspected fentanyl and heroin on Johnson. He was arrested and charged with trafficking. Johnson was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
