The Women’s Business Center of Kentucky (WBC) held an expo this week at the London Community Center called ‘Women in Business’. The event equipped female entrepreneurs with the tools necessary to launch and grow their businesses successfully. Kentucky Auditor Allison Ball was the keynote speaker. The event included training on starting a business, financial management, effective networking, leadership, and a panel of successful women entrepreneurs. The event also provided opportunities to network with small business resource providers, lending institutions, and other local and regional entrepreneurs. Executive Director, Devanny King, says female entrepreneurs own over 41 percent of small businesses in Kentucky, and they launched this series to help women-owned businesses and aspiring business owners.
