Laurel County Police Arrest Man After Finding Him Intoxicated Laying on Railroad Tracks

Laurel County Sheriff John Root says Deputy Daniel Reed was dispatched to a complaint of a man passed out on the train tracks off Hwy 1223. Deputy Reed arrived to find 28-year-old Buddy Vaughn, of Middlesboro, laid back on the tracks. Vaughn was determined to be under the influence and placed under arrest. During his arrest, he was found to in possession of suspected methamphetamine and oxycodone. Vaughn was also wanted on an outstanding warrant out of Bell County. In addition to the warrant, he was charged with public intoxication – controlled substances and possession of controlled substances. He was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
