Pulaski County Sheriff Bobby Jones reported the arrest of two people after deputies were called out on a shoplifting complaint. Deputies responded to the Dollar General store at the corner of W. Highway 80 and Highway 914. While on the way to the store, deputies learned the suspects left the parking lot in a gold Mazda and had hit an employee who was trying to get the car’s license plate. Officers were able to get video footage from the store, and identified the suspects as 51-year-old James New and 46-year-old Robyn Bingham. Deputies later found the car at a home on W. Highway 80 in Nancy. Deputies said they found New and Bingham in the home, as well as stolen items. New was charged with robbery and an active warrant. Bingham was charged with complicity to robbery and two active warrants. Both were lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center.
