During their weekly update on Kool Gold’s London News Now, the Laurel County Health Department reported that influenza and COVID numbers are declining in the state. Public Services Supervisor, Tyler Caldwell, said from March 18th to March 22nd there were 20 new COVID 19 cases and 3 new hospitalizations. Caldwell said nationally, however, COVID, flu and RSV numbers show no notable changes. He said, other than staying up to date on vaccinations, it’s important to practice preventive measures like washing your hands, covering your coughs and sneezes and staying home when you’re sick.
