KSP Troopers Arrest Two in Unrelated Rockcastle County Murder Investigations

Two murder investigations are underway in Rockcastle County. Kentucky State Police say an anonymous caller reported a man, 54-year-old Benjamin Jones, JR., of Livingston, had been shot on Sandhill Road. Officers found Jones lying in the road deceased from apparent gunshot wounds. Later, troopers arrested 54-year-old Terry Burke, of Livingston, on Misty Lane in Mount Vernon and charged him with Murder. He was lodged in the Rockcastle Detention Center. The investigation is continuing by Detective Aaron Peace. In an unrelated case, Kentucky State Police troopers went to Goochland Cave Road on a welfare check. Officers arrived to find 43-year-old Joshua Dooley, of Mount Vernon, deceased from apparent gunshot wounds. Later, troopers arrested 49-year-old Clayton Cox, of Mount Vernon, for murder and tampering with physical evidence. This case is still under investigation by Detective Ryan Loudermilk.
