Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting Deputy Zach Allen along with K-9/Sgt. Gary Mehler arrested a London man for assault. Deputies were called out to a home on Tomcat Trail. They arrived to find 41-year-old Michael Elliott outside of the home. Elliott was accused of hitting a minor. Police say Elliott resisted arrest and would not identify himself. Elliott was charged with alcohol intoxication, menacing, resisting arrest and fourth degree assault. He was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
