Corbin Parents Arrested After Child Makes 911 Call

The Corbin Police Department says two parents are in jail after their child reportedly called the police, thinking the mother was dead. Officers say the girl called, saying that she could not wake her mother up. When police arrived at the home, the girl and her mother, Danielle Asher, came to the door. The father, Robert Herren, was found later. Police also found another child in the home. Herren and Asher were arrested and charged with criminal abuse, endangering the welfare of a minor, and drug possession. They were lodged in the Whitley County Detention Center. Police say both children were placed in the custody of others at this time.
