London Man Dies in Crash After Possible Medical Event

Laurel County Sheriff John Root says Deputy Zach Allen, along with Capt. Chris Edwards, Detective Robert Reed and Deputy Allen Turner are investigating a single vehicle fatality. The crash occurred on KY 192, about 8 miles west of London on Wednesday afternoon. Deputies say a preliminary investigation suggests the driver may have had a medical event causing him to lose control, travel off the roadway and hit a tree. The driver, 81-year-old Jerry Clark of London, was transported by Ambulance Inc. of Laurel County to St. Joseph Hospital London for treatment and was pronounced dead a short time later. Assisting at the scene or on the investigation were: Ambulance Inc. of Laurel County, London Laurel Rescue Squad, Keavy Fire and Rescue and the Laurel County Coroner’s Office.
