London Police Chief Jerry Hollon is reporting Officer Eric Wilkerson arrested a hit and run driver. Officer Wilkerson was called out to a crash at the intersection of KY-192 and KY-229. When officers arrived one of the cars had left the scene. Police found it a few miles away on Conley Road. The driver, 40-year-old Matthew Woolever of Williamsburg, was determined to be under the influence. He was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of a controlled substance, leaving the scene of an accident and other traffic offenses. He was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
