Laurel County Sheriff John Root says Deputy Daniel Reed were dispatched to Byrley Road where a woman was reportedly stumbling in the road attempting to stop passing vehicles. Deputies arrived to find 37-year-old Laurel Napier stumbling in the road having trouble maintaining her balance. During the investigation Napier was determined to be under the influence of a controlled substance. Napier also gave false identifying information. After positive identification it was determined that Napier also had an outstanding Laurel County Bench Warrant. She was arrested and lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
