Jackson County Board of Education administrators have announced Renee Smith as the new superintendent for the school system. Smith has 25 years of experience working with Clay County Public Schools. Smith spent 13 years teaching in the classroom before moving into a role in the Clay County central office. Smith said she is excited about her new role and looks forward to contributing to the success and growth of Jackson County Public Schools.
