Knox County Sheriff Mike Smith says Deputy Sgt. Jesse Smith pulled over a vehicle on KY 6 in Woodbine resulting in a drug arrest. Sgt. Smith and other members of the London Laurel Knox Drug Task Force arrested 59-year-old Steven Melton of Corbin after finding him with Oxycodone and a large amount of cash, all in 20 dollar bills. Melton was charged with trafficking in a controlled substance. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
