Laurel County Crash Leads to Drug Arrest

Laurel County Sheriff John Root says Deputy Bobby Roberts was dispatched to Sinking Creek Road to investigate a two vehicle non-injury crash. The driver, 42-year-old Garry Sulfridge, of London, was found to be under the influence and driving on a DUI suspended license. Sulfridge also admitted to police that he had meth, methadone and oxycodone. Sulfridge was arrested and lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center, where officers found him in possession of more meth. He was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence, driving on DUI suspended license, possession of a controlled substance and tampering with physical evidence.
