Laurel County Sheriff John Root says Deputy Cyruss McVey and Deputy Justin Lewis were called out to a reported domestic violence complaint at a home off TIB Drive. When deputies arrived, a woman told them 63-year-old Johnny Dale Marcum had punched her in the eye and assaulted her. Deputies noted that she had a visible eye injury. Meanwhile, Marcum ran out the back door and was found hiding in some bushes around a fence line. He was arrested and charged with assault in the fourth degree and was lodged at the Laurel County Correctional Center.
