Laurel County Sheriff John Root reports K-9/Sgt. Gary Mehler was called out to Marydell Road where a man with outstanding warrants was walking along the road. Deputies arrived to find 44-year-old Jody Lynn Roark, of London, and found that he had two warrants. During the arrest, deputies said Roark resisted and ran away. Following a short chase, Roark was arrested. In addition to the warrants, Roark was charged with running from police and resisting arrest. He was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
