Laurel County Sheriff John Root says his department is searching for a theft suspect. Investigators say they are looking for help to identify a person suspected in a theft at Walmart near Corbin. Deputies say the suspect was driving a maroon Kia SUV. They said he drove away after being confronted and nearly hit four people while leaving. Surveillance photos of the suspect and the vehicle have been released and shown here. Anyone with information is urged to call investigating officer Deputy Austyn Weddle at 606-864-6600.
