Laurel County Police Recover Stolen Truck and Make Arrest

Laurel County Sheriff John Root says Deputy Joe Breeding recovered a stolen truck and made an arrest in the case. Deputy Breeding went to a motel off Adams Road where a reported stolen truck was being tracked by GPS by the Loudon County Tennessee Sheriff’s office. Police found the truck there and found a set of keys in the floorboard of the truck. Surveillance video showed a woman walking away from the truck into a motel. Deputies, with the help of motel management, found the woman, 41-year-old Toni Hutchinson, of Somerset, underneath a mattress in a room. The extra set of keys to the stolen pickup were found on Hutchinson. She told officers that she found the truck on the side of the road and took it because she was trying to escape from “the cartel”. Hutchinson was also wanted on warrants. She was arrested and lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
