Laurel County Sheriff John Root says they will be conducting traffic safety checkpoints this month at various locations that are experiencing a high rate of crashes resulting in injuries or a high traffic volume. The checkpoints are coordinated by Capt. Chris Edwards . The locations include, but are not limited to:

• Ky 192
• Ky 80
• U.S. 25
• Hal Rogers Parkway and Ky 80
• I-75 at the entry/exit ramps at exit 49, exit 41 and exit 29
• Ky 909
• Ky 490
• U.S. 25 E
• Ky 229
• Ky 1956

Sheriff Root says the traffic safety checkpoints is an attempt to make Laurel County roads safer for our families.
