Laurel County Traffic Stop Leads To Drug Charges

Laurel County Sheriff John Root says Deputy Bobby Roberts pulled over a motorcycle after noticing it had no license plate and failed to signal a turn. During the stop, the rider, 45-year-old Dwayne Sutton, of Corbin, was determined to be under the influence. During his arrest, Sutton was found to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Sutton was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence, drug and paraphernalia possession and several other traffic offenses. He was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
