Laurel County Traffic Stop Leads to the Arrest of Pair on Drug and Other Charges

Laurel County Sheriff John Root says Deputy Bobby Roberts pulled over a car on South Laurel Road after noticing it had no plates. During the stop Deputy Roberts detected the odor of alcohol on both the driver, 44-year-old Robert Wright of Lily, and passenger, 67-year-old Ronald Wright of Ohio. During the investigation both were found in possession of suspected methamphetamine and both were wanted on outstanding warrants. Both were arrested and in addition to the warrants, were charged with a slew of offenses. Both were lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
