Court officials say a man has pleaded guilty in a 2020 Clay County murder case. Police believe Jeremy Smith assaulted Russell Knuckles. Knuckles later died from his injuries. Smith pleaded guilty to an amended charge of manslaughter before his trial was set to begin. The plea agreement calls for 18 years in prison.
