Police Arrest Somerset Man for Falsely Reporting an Incident

The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office reports a Somerset man was arrested for “falsely reporting” an incident to police. Deputies responded to a call from 21-year-old Andrew Stringer who said he was stabbed by a man wearing a black hoodie and baseball cap while he was sitting on the side of Highway 27. During the investigation, deputies were notified by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office that a man matching Stringer’s description was involved in an incident in the county. Lincoln County deputies said the man, later identified as Stringer, was involved in a fight with a homeowner, and during the fight, the homeowner reportedly stabbed him in the back. Stringer was determined to be the perpetrator in the incident. Stringer was arrested and charged with falsely reporting an incident to police. He was lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center.
