Earlier this week Somerset Mayor Alan Keck announced Major Josh Wesley as the new chief of police. Chief Wesley has served the Somerset Police Department for more than 18 years. Wesley has served as a Field Training Officer, Patrol Sergeant, Patrol Lieutenant, the Commander over Patrol with the rank of Captain, the Assistant Chief of Police with the rank of Major, and the acting Chief of Police for the Somerset Police Department.
