The Williamsburg Police Department and Whitley County Sheriff’s Department responded to a complaint at a gas station in Williamsburg. Police say allegedly 37-year-old Kevin Ray, of Knoxville, poured gas mixed with oil on Kendra Wald and then flicked a lighter with the intent to kill her. Ray was arrested and charged with attempted murder, wanton endangerment and terroristic threatening. He was lodged in the Whitley County Detention Center.
