Laurel County Sheriff John Root says Deputy Bobby Roberts was called out to a two-vehicle crash on Hawk Creek Road. During the investigation, one of the drivers involved, 42-year-old Amanda Neal of Texas, was determined to be under the influence. Neal was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence – first offense. She was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
