
London, KY (Forcht Broadcasting) Governor Andy Beshear has declared a state of emergency for the state of Kentucky from now until the end of the flooding event.
There are currently several severe weather alerts active for our entire listening area. Including a Flood Warning until 9:30pm Saturday night (2/15) and a Flood Watch until 10PM on Monday. The National Weather Service in Jackson says “Widespread rainfall totals of 2 to 4 inches are expected. However, in locations where heavier showers and thunderstorms are more persistent, rainfall totals could approach or exceed 5 inches and cause scattered to numerous instances of flash flooding.”
