UPDATE: KSP Release More Information on Officer Involved Shooting in Pulaski County

Kentucky State Police continue to investigate an officer-involved shooting that occurred in Pulaski County last month. After the KSP Critical Incident Response Team (CIRT) conducted interviews of witnesses and officers involved, the preliminary investigation indicates that officers with Somerset Police Department (SPD) responded to a domestic call on Emerald Court.  As officers were interviewing 51-year-old Dallas Brandon Cain, of Somerset, he exited the home armed with a handgun.  Mr. Cain refused officers’ commands to put down the firearm and raised the weapon toward the officers.  SPD officers perceived the threat and fired, fatally striking Cain. The investigation is continuing.
