Pulaski County Woman is Shot and Killed in Apparent Domestic Violence Incident

Pulaski County Sheriff Bobby Jones says a Eubank woman was killed in a reported domestic violence incident. Deputies were called out to a home on N. Highway 27 after getting a report of two unresponsive people inside. The caller told deputies her mother-in-law, 67-year-old Doris Brock, didn’t show up for work and that she went in to check on her. She found Doris and her father-in-law, 78-year-old James Brock, unresponsive. Doris was pronounced dead by the Pulaski County Coroner’s Office. James was found to be breathing. He was taken to Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital for treatment of what officials believed to be a drug overdose. After an investigation, deputies said Doris was shot while in the living room of the home. Detectives later found James was responsible for the shooting after an argument between the two. Doris was taken to the Kentucky Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy. A murder warrant was issued for James Brock. He was arrested at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
